Our client is seeking an active, enthusiastic and versaltile Project Engineer to play a key role in their Projects Engineering Department. While the precise level of responsibilities will depend to some extent on the background and experience of the successful candidate, the role will involve development and design, project management and close liaison with customers, suppliers and all company departments at their Essex offices and works and significant travel for on site engineering support at clients' sites worldwide. The ability to relate to and communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients of many nationalities and cultures is essential.
Duties to include ;
Co-ordination of specified customer projects/orders to ensure compliance with contractual, technical and commercial requirements and agreed project timetables and costs.
Personal involvement in design and equipment specifying and ordering, liaising with other technical staff as appropriate.
Liaison with all departments and co-ordination of activities to meet the requirements of the projects, formally through progress meetings and informally as necessary.
Contact with customers on all aspects of project implementation.
Co-ordination of periodic internal technical development projects, liaising with other technical staff or responsible directors as appropriate.
Making visits to customers sites worldwide for project co-ordination, supervision of installation, training, commissioning or troubleshooting.
Assisting management and others as required in the general market, promotional, technical and commercial development of the company.
Foreign languages would be valuable but not essential.
Minimum HNC or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline. A background/experience in design, manufacturing, project management or service in a multi-discipline engineering environment. Computer literacy essential, knowledge of AutoCAD or similar
