The NHS has announced a new Covid-19 App which works alongside the NHS Test and Trace Campaign to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The app is beneficial in alerting the public when they have been in contact with Covid-19 or when they enter areas that pose a high risk.
The App is able to send out different types of alerts to help you keep your loved ones safe, including:
Contact tracing alerts - The app sends out a notification based on your surroundings and who may be infected with Covid-19.
Postcode alerts - This alert sends out a notification when there’s a risk of infections in your area. This will help you to be extra cautious when you are out on your daily routine.
Exposure alerts - The app allows users to check in at venues, and will keep record of who was in the vicinity at that specific time. Should anyone test positive for Covid-19 at a later stage the app will send out an alert to notify the user with the steps to follow.
