Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages; including espresso-based drinks, teas, and seasonal specials, to a high professional standard.
Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, assisting customers with menu selections and ensuring a positive start to their day.
Operate and clean commercial espresso machines, grinders, and milk steamers regularly to ensure safety and drink consistency.
Handle transactions efficiently using till systems, ensuring accuracy in pricing and providing quick service during the morning rush.
Keep the bar and seating areas spotless, adhering to strict food safety protocols and maintaining an organized workspace.
Barista Job Requirements
Previous experience in a barista role is highly valued, particularly a solid understanding of milk texturing and espresso extraction.
A basic understanding of food hygiene practices; a Level 2 Food Safety certificate is an advantage.
A positive, energetic personality with the ability to build a great rapport with regular customers and colleagues.
The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Punctuality is essential, especially for early morning opening shifts at busy commuting hubs or local cafes.
