South London Evening Catering Assistant Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in the professional service of evening meals, ensuring all guests or students receive high-quality food with a friendly approach. 

• Work alongside the chef to manage basic food prep; such as assembling salads, plating desserts, or organizing grab-and-go options. 

• Maintain a pristine environment by sanitizing work surfaces, washing equipment, and ensuring the dining area is reset for the next day. 

• Strictly follow food safety guidelines and allergen protocols to ensure every meal served is safe and compliant with health standards. 

• Assist with end-of-service cleaning and securing the kitchen, ensuring all stock is stored correctly and equipment is powered down. 

South London Catering Assistant Candidate Requirements 

• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is preferred, though a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. 

• The ability to work effectively within a team and interact politely with customers during busy service periods. 

• Since these are evening roles, we need dependable individuals who are committed to their scheduled shifts in South London or Kent. 

• A basic understanding of kitchen hygiene; a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is highly advantageous. 

• For roles based in schools or care settings, a valid Enhanced DBS check is required (we can assist with the application).
