About the Role 

First Call Employment is seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join a well-established nursery in Camberley, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is committed to ensuring young children receive nutritious and delicious meals. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Food Preparation: assist in the preparation of meals and snacks for children, ensuring all dietary requirements and allergies are strictly adhered to.

• Kitchen Maintenance: maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including washing up, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.

• Inventory Management: help manage kitchen supplies, including ordering and stock rotation to ensure fresh and adequate provisions at all times.

• Compliance: adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including completing necessary documentation and checks.

• Team Collaboration: work closely with nursery staff to plan menus and ensure meal times run smoothly.

Ideal Candidate 

• Experience: previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment, preferably within a nursery or school setting. 

• Skills: strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. 

• Qualifications: a valid Food Hygiene Certificate is essential. Knowledge of dietary needs and allergies is highly desirable.
