About the Nursery Chef Role
We're recruiting experienced nursery chefs for flexible weekday shifts in Gravesend. This is ongoing agency work, so you'll have regular, frequent shifts rather than one-off placements. What You'll Do?
Prepare nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for children, following early years nutrition guidance
Manage food allergies and dietary requirements safely, using allergen matrices and documented dietary forms
Maintain food hygiene and safety standards in line with EYFS requirements and local regulations
Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and well-stocked, with proper food rotation
Work collaboratively with the nursery team to support meal routines and children's wellbeing
Maintain accurate food records and complete required paperwork

What We're Looking For?
Essential Experience
Minimum 1 year working as a chef in a school or nursery kitchen
Proven understanding of food allergies and food hygiene
Comfortable working in a busy, regulated environment with children present
Able to follow written procedures and maintain detailed records

Valid Enhanced DBS covering child workforce, subscribed to the DBS Update Service (or willing to apply through us)
