Job Title: Nursery Chef
Vacancy Type: Immediate start, permanent role
Pay Rate: From £17 per hour*
Location: Kent (map)
Responsibilities:
Cook and serve nutritious, well-balanced meals and snacks for nursery children daily
Adhere strictly to food hygiene, safety, and allergen management procedures
Adapt menus to accommodate a range of dietary requirements and preferences
Monitor and manage stock levels and kitchen supplies effectively
Collaborate with nursery staff to ensure mealtimes run smoothly and on schedule
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef in a nursery, primary school, or similar childcare setting
Relevant culinary qualification (City & Guilds 706-1 & 2 or equivalent)
Solid understanding of children's nutritional needs and allergen awareness
Enhanced DBS Certificate OR open to applying for one with us
Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate OR open to completing training with us
Safeguarding of Children training OR open to completing with our support
Punctual, conscientious, and enthusiastic about working in childcare settings
