Nursery Chef Job Details

Responsibilities: 

• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks suitable for young children 

• Follow and help develop seasonal menus that meet dietary guidelines 

• Ensure full compliance with food safety, allergen, and hygiene regulations 

• Cater for individual dietary needs including allergies and intolerances 

• Keep the kitchen organised and well-stocked, coordinating with nursery management 

Requirements: 

• Experience as a Chef in a nursery, infant school, or comparable setting 

• Culinary qualification such as City & Guilds 706-1 & 2 or equivalent 

• Knowledge of allergen management and children's nutritional requirements 

• Enhanced DBS Certificate OR open to applying for one with us 

• Valid Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate OR open to completing training with us 

• Safeguarding of Children training OR open to undertaking training with us 

• Organised, dependable, and a genuine team player
