Care Home Chef Job Details 

• Job Title: School Catering Assistant Jobs in Surrey 

• Type: Flexible Shifts  

• Pay Rate: Up to £14.00 per hour*

Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and cook fresh, balanced meals for students and, where required, school staff daily. 

• Deliver fast, friendly service at the counter, ensuring every student is attended to. 

• Maintain clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen and dining areas, including washing equipment, crockery, and utensils, while adhering to all food hygiene and health & safety procedures. 

• Support senior kitchen staff with preparation, portioning, and service tasks. 

Requirements: 

• At least 3 months of recent experience in a kitchen or catering environment 

• Enhanced DBS Certificate or open to applying for one with our support 

• Valid Food Safety Training & Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, or open to completing training with us 

• Dependable, punctual, and a natural team player 

• Positive, can-do attitude that lifts the team and brightens up the kitchen 

• Flexible and comfortable working hours
