Waiting and Bar Staff Key Responsibilities 

• Greet guests warmly and manage table service with efficiency, ensuring a high-quality dining or drinking experience from start to finish. 

• Serve a wide range of drinks; including draught beers, fine wines, and spirits, while maintaining a clean and organized bar environment. 

• Accurately take food and drink orders using POS systems, ensuring special dietary requirements or allergies are communicated clearly to the kitchen. 

• Handle the setup and breakdown of front-of-house areas; including polishing glassware, clearing tables, and ensuring the venue remains pristine for guests. 

• Process cash and card transactions accurately and securely while providing quick and professional service during busy peak periods. 

Waiting and Bar Staff Job Requirements 

• A naturally friendly and outgoing personality with the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of customers. 

• Prior experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment - such as a busy restaurant, pub, or wedding venue - is highly preferred. 

• Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with both team members and patrons in a high-pressure setting. 

• A dependable team player who is available to work varied shifts; including late nights and weekends, to meet the demands of the Essex hospitality scene. 

• A commitment to maintaining a smart appearance and always adhering to venue-specific uniform standards.
